When properly installed and when it is exposed to reasonable sunlight, the TT-60x Asset Trackers will generally maintain a full battery. However, if the exposure to sunlight is extremely low or becomes covered with heavy dirt or snow, it may not charge properly or may cease charging until the snow or dirt is removed.
The TT-60x varies its collection and reporting intervals depending on whether it is stationary or moving and will also dynamically slow down its collection and reporting intervals as the battery begins to get low. To avoid slowdowns in collection and reporting intervals, it is recommended that you set the devices low battery level alert to 65%. Doing so will ensure you have adequate time to troubleshoot before the battery gets critically low. The devices are currently configured as follows:
3.0.19+ firmware location report frequency:
| Stationary | Moving | ||
| Collection | Reporting | Collection | Reporting |
Full Battery | 4 hours | 4 hours | 1 minute | 10 minutes |
Medium | 12 hours | 12 hours | 3 minutes | 30 minutes |
